Installing Netrinos on Windows
Set up your Windows PC in minutes
Netrinos connects your devices together into a private network. Install it on two or more computers to create your mesh, then access files and remote desktops as if they were on the same local network.
Prerequisites
- A Netrinos account
- At least one other computer set up with Netrinos
Installation
- Visit the Netrinos website at https://netrinos.com
- Click "Download" and select the Windows version.
- Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen prompts.
- Netrinos will launch automatically after installation.
- Log in using your Netrinos credentials.
Connecting to Your Network
- Netrinos will display your other computers. Initially, they may be grayed out while connecting.
- A timer beside a computer's name means your network is established and ready.
- Offline, sleeping, or unconnected computers will remain grayed out.
- Access Netrinos settings through the System Tray icon.
File Sharing
- In Netrinos, copy the other computer's Tunnel Name.
- Open File Explorer. In the address bar, type
\\[Tunnel Name] (replace [Tunnel Name]).
- Press Enter to connect.
- Provide login credentials for the remote computer's file share if prompted.
- Browse shared folders as if they were local.
Remote Desktop
- Open Remote Desktop Connection (search "Remote Desktop" in the Start menu).
- Copy the remote computer's Tunnel Name from Netrinos.
- Paste the Tunnel Name as the Computer name and click "Connect".
- Enter credentials for the remote computer.
- You will now be controlling the remote computer.
Additional Notes
- Netrinos automates the networking complexities, treating remote computers like they were on the same local network.
