Example Uses

What can Netrinos do for me?

With Netrinos, you create your own personal encrypted network. Once connected, your devices will be able to see each other regardless where you are physically located. Whether at home, in the office, in a London hotel, or in a coffee shop in Hong Kong, it's all the same. If you can surf the web, your network is there.

Access Your Remote Desktop

Both Windows Pro and macOS have native Remote Desktop features built-in.

Rather than relying on the same "paid" remote access tools used by Internet scammers, you can use Netrinos to create your own secure private network and use the Remote Desktop features already built into your PC. This way you will only be exposed to devices owned and controlled by you. And you will not have an additional monthly subscription to worry about.

DIY Cloud File Storage

Cloud File Storage

If you don't like the idea of keeping your sensitive files on a huge cloud service accessible on the web, you can use Netrinos to create your own private cloud server. Simply install the software on both your PC and another PC you wish to use as the server. Then share out a folder from the server PC. Now you have a secure file server that you can access from anywhere in the world.

If you have a Linux-based NAS device such as QNAP or Synology, you can install the Netrinos Client for Linux and access that from anywhere. Any device running Netrinos software will appear to you as if it is on a local LAN. This private LAN is always there.

Remote Systems Administration

Netrinos is great for remote administrators. If you need to manage remote customer servers, simply install the Netrinos software on each of them and they will appear to be local to you. Since Netrinos connections are outbound, you can restrict access to those servers completely in your firewall and you will still have full access through Netrinos.

There is no need to be constantly hammered for exploits just because you need remote access.

Remote Development Support

Remote Development

Netrinos is great for developers. If you need to manage applications running on remote cloud servers, simply install the Netrinos software on each of them and they will appear to be local to you. Since Netrinos connections are outbound, you can restrict access to those servers completely in your firewall and you will still have full access yourself. Just open the ports your application needs. SSH can stay blocked.

Roll-Your-Own Remote Backup Solution

Online backup solutions are still a special case of keeping your sensitive data on someone else's web-accessible cloud server.

A good alternative is to use Netrinos to connect to another one of your own computers in a separate physical location. Use the tools already provided in your operating system to sync your files to the other computer.

Even though it is in a separate physical location, protected by another firewall, those servers will appear to be local to each other. Backing up will be the same as if they were sitting beside each other. And the backup speed will be as fast as your Internet connection allows.

Zero Trust Networking

Zero Trust Networking

If you work with highly sensitive information, even within a trusted network, you can enjoy even higher levels of security by using Netrinos.

Install the Netrinos Client on your server and on your workstations. Then any time you refer to that server, your traffic is automatically encrypted. Your sensitive accounting information does not need to be visible on your internal LAN.

Access secure accounting information over WiFi in a meeting room. Nobody else in the room has connectivity to your accounting server. From their perspective, it is still behind a firewall.

A Shared Gaming Network

Netrinos makes a great gaming network. Add each gaming PC to your network and connect directly to your friends. There is no need for public gaming servers, or any router configuration at all.

You and your friends will be connected as if you are in the same room. And the traffic between you will be as fast as your Internet connections will allow. Latency will be low as the traffic always takes the shortest route between PCs.
